In this, I’m going to cover Digital marketing tips from a customer viewpoint, stick with me for more information.

Do you stand in the shoes of the consumer and see the product that you are going to market?

In this article, I am not going to teach you how to market but I am going to focus on things that matter when I really want to buy a product.

I am not really good at investing in mutual funds. Also, I don’t have a clue about how to choose a mutual fund portfolio. But I started investing in mutual funds.

You might be wondering why I am suddenly talking about mutual funds. There is a reason.

The Customer View

When I was browsing through Facebook I saw a sponsored post related to creating wealth through mutual funds.

At first, I was skeptical about the article, however, I clicked the link and ended up on scripbox.com.

The article explained very clearly about investing in mutual funds and its associated risks.

The best part about the article was, that they were very transparent about the associated risks, gain, and the percentage of commission they get from the mutual fund owners.

By being transparent, they gained a little trust and I subscribed to their tips.

Every article I received through email was to the point. Every article made sense and never felt like they were trying to sell something to me, even though they were.

However, I started investing in mutual funds, because I got a good level of understanding and they take care of the best-performing portfolios.

FYI, am not endorsing Scripbox in this article. What I am trying to say in this article is that the best piece of content made me a customer for a product.

Are you guys creating that “best piece of content” or the best product that gets customer attention?

Or, are you guys creating content just for the sake of marketing?

If you are doing the former, you are on the right path. Quite often I see content marketers promoting content that has no value and ends up wasting quite a lot of money in digital marketing.

Just one piece of honest content is worth more than 10 thousand junk marketing content.

Gaining the trust of a customer can help you in a lot of ways.

  1. He/she will refer his friends and audiences to use the product.
  2. You will get genuine feedback on your product.

So I have come up with these five questions that you should ask yourself about promotional content.

  1. Would I be convinced if I read or viewed this promotion?
  2. Am I creating an impression that I am trying to sell something?
  3. Am I being honest?
  4. Does it add value to the customer?
  5. Am I targeting the right audience?

If you get the above questions right, you will not end up wasting a lot of money on digital marketing. Also, you will get genuine customers who will give a try for your future products.

Let me know your experiences in the comment section. I would like to hear some of your stories which have failures and successes. Failures are the best because they teach you more things than success. 🙂
