Domain overview will help you find your competitors' organic and paid traffic, organic keywords, website authority score, and country vice traffic.

Also, it shows the traffic in graph view, which is shown in the image below.

You can see your competitors' top organic keywords, and you can pick the keywords to strategize your SEO to compete with your competitors.

Use this feature to know about your competitors.

For example, it helps to analyze your competitors, shows organic and paid traffic analytics on your website, and more.

You can identify your keyword gap by comparing it with your top five competitors. So it is the best tool for doing competitor analysis.

Semrush Traffic Analytics

Semrush Traffic Analytics is a powerful tool for analyzing your website traffic and your competitors' traffic.

On the overview page,

You can view the visits, unique visitors, average visit duration, and bounce rate(visitors leave the page after viewing only one page). You can also see the graph to understand better.

Scroll down to see the traffic channels and which platform you get more traffic from. Also, concentrating on and promoting that channel will help you increase your website traffic.

You can see which country you are getting more traffic.

You can also see the audience overview, which includes geographical and behavioral data. With these analyses, you can improve your traffic.

The Semrush Organic Research feature helps you analyze your website's or your competitor's organic traffic in-depth.

The overview section shows the number of keywords, traffic, traffic cost, branded traffic, and non-branded traffic.

Scroll down to see the top organic keywords of your competitors, and you can pick the ones that are performing well.

Click 'View all keywords' to see your competitor's organic keywords.

Now, you will have access to the full keywords, and you can look at their SERP position, traffic, volume, and KD% for each keyword, which will be helpful for your SEO strategy.

Semrush Keyword Magic Tool(keyword Research)

Semrush Keyword Magic Tool is the best keyword research tool with current data and is the top tool in the market. It is famous among digital marketers, SEO experts, and me.

Enter your primary keyword in the search box, select the country you want to target, and click 'search.'

For instance, I type 'Semrush Keyword Magic Tool' as my primary keyword.

See the image below, it gives me around 1,049 related keywords with user intent, volume, KD%, and CPC.

If you want to find the right keyword for your search, then click on Broad Match, Phrase Match, and Exact Match.

However, I mostly use broad matches to identify my keywords.

If you want to view the keyword, click on it. For instance, I clicked on the first keyword in the result, which is shown in the above image.

It is the Semrush Keyword Overview feature, which helps you to view the keyword in detail.

You can view the global volume, trends with a graph view, keyword variations, questions related to the keyword, and keyword strategy to generate topics and subtopics related to the keyword.

It automatically generates sub-keywords for you, and it is also known as Keyword clustering or grouping.

You know that backlink outreach is one of your SEO strategies for building website authority.

Semrush makes it easy for those who are doing backlink outreach with its Semrush Link Building Tool.

No other tool has this feature, only Semrush has this.

It gives you backlinks related to your niche and updates them daily. You can send emails from Semrush and do not want to send them through separate software.

It has a built-in feature to send outreach emails.

You can find the good authority links here, and it will increase your website's credibility and reputation. (I'm giving 5-star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Semrush Backlink Analytics

Semrush Backlink Analytics is one of this tool's best features. It helps you analyze your competitors and your backlinks.

This overview section shows the website authority score, number of backlinks, and more. And I believe it is better than the Ahrefs backlink analytics tool.

You can also see the backlink categories of referring domains. This feature analyzes data and provides detailed information.

In this section, you can view the backlink types and filter to find the active backlinks, which will help you find the new backlink for your site.

It will show the up-to-date backlinks and give a filter option to find the links that you want to view.

In my view, Semrush Backlink Analytics is a super COOL feature!

For example, Comtechies is based on Digital Marketing, Tech, and Hosting, so most of the links come from this niche.

Another example: If you're targeting the information technology niche, you want to target links related to this niche and attract links from this niche.

So, I suggest you to use this feature to find the best backlinks for your site.

Semrush Backlink Audit

Semrush Backlink Audit is another COOL feature!

It identifies toxic or bad backlinks that are integrated into your website, which can harm your reputation with users and Google.

With Semrush, you can identify and export bad backlink domains and update them in the Google Disavow Tool to remove them from your website.

So, backlink audit is an essential tool for your website, and Semrush knows this well and gives users this option to make their websites healthy.

You can perform a site audit, manage listings, and create an SEO content template in Semrush.

Additionally, you can use an on-page SEO checker and a long file analyzer.

The SEO content template helps you brief the template to write SEO-friendly content.

The on-page SEO checker reviews your report by analyzing competitors and providing ideas to optimize your website.

Semrush is best for its accurate data and SEO tools. Now, it's integrating AI in its features to make it better performance.

They are offering more tools for free as well. I like it, and it is very useful.

I have been using it for two years and am still using it because it never fails me. It has the SEO toolkit, which other SEO tools don't have.

It is a big advantage for them, so I'm using this tool and am a fan of it.

Real-Life Case Study Using Semrush

In this section, I will share a real-life experience in Semrush that helped one of our clients' websites increase its traffic.

One of our client have a blogging website, and their blogs are related to Tech.

Their website traffic started to decrease in January 2024. We were so confused about this issue that we used Semrush to identify the problem on the website.

First, we conducted a site audit. Things were okay during the audit, but there was a small issue.

We know that's not the cause of the decrease in traffic.

We did everything possible to identify the issue. Last, we conducted a backlink audit; Semrush and other tools also have this feature.

During the audit, we found around 4,081 toxic domains linked to our client's website😬. So, we decided to remove it, and for that, we used Semrush and Google Disavow tools.

You can see in the image below that we disavowed 4081 toxic domains from our client site.

After disavowing the toxic backlinks, the website will take time to recover from this damage; it will not be okay overnight.

Yeah, toxic backlinks are one factor that will decrease traffic and rankings. We believe this is bad for our website and will cause some issues.

However, few of them say it will cause any damage to the website's traffic and rankings.

But in our case, it is one of the major causes of the decrease in traffic.
